Texas LTC Gun Safety Central offers the National Rifle Association NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course. This introductory class gives students a comprehensive overview of all things handgun related. From the differences between revolvers and semi-autos to how to shoot, care and clean your handguns, this course is the best way to get started on your way to pistol shooting proficiency.

What to expect from the class
Among the many topics covered are gun safety, ammunition types and calibers, differences between types of handguns, proper shooting techniques, marksmanship, cleaning and care and others. The class is divided into two sections. The classroom part last 3-4 hours and includes all of the topics above with dry fire (using unloaded guns to simulate live fire) exercises included. Then it is off to the shooting range. Each student will shoot a minimum of 50 to 100 rounds in live fire drills. By the end of the class each student will have passed the NRA Basic Marksmanship qualifications.
